Students from Elementary and Junior High School gathered to support the candidates of Little Lycean Star, in celebration of Lyceum of Alabang’s 21st Founding Anniversary, at the Danilo V. Ayap (DVA) Gymnasium, on October 4.
The event began with the sports attire segment, where Grades 1 to 3 contestants showed off their energy and style followed by Grades 4 to 6 who took the stage dressed to impress in their athletic gear, as cheers echoed throughout the gym.
After the sports attire ramp walk, the judges encouraged the participants to simply enjoy the experience, while enthusiastic parents and teachers cheered them on from the audience.
The crowd's anticipation reached its peak when the participants showcased their fairy-tale-themed formal wear that added a touch of enchantment to the celebration.
Grades 1-3 participants delighted the crowd with their charming smiles and fairy-inspired costumes, while Grades 4-6 dazzled with their enchanted outfits.
In the Grade 1-3 division, Tristan Gabriel Ledesma and Althea Joy Yasis were crowned as the Male and Female Grand Winner.
“Sa akin, as a parent talaga, is support lang kung ano yung gustong gawin ng anak,” shared Althea’s mother, whose daughter won the title of Female Grand Winner.
“Manalo, matalo ginawa nila yung best nila. Lagi namang proud ang parents kahit anong gawin ng anak," she added.
For Tristan’s mother, seeing her son’s effort recognized by the judges brought immense joy. “Happy naman ako kasi nakita din ng mga judges yung effort,” she shared.
“But siyempre, kung ano man yung kalabasan, hindi naman kami nag-i-expect na mananalo talaga. Kasi lahat naman ng competition ay may kalaban. So dahil nanalo siya, nakakatuwa din naman, and I think deserve naman niya.”
In the Grade 4-6 division, Skyler A. Paldez took the title of Mr. Little Lycean Star, and Ma. Francheska Yohanna Javier earned the title of Ms. Little Lycean Star.
The principal commended all students, acknowledging the efforts of every participant and their families.
The kindergarten students had their moment with a heart-warming performance, singing "We Are the World for Children" in their United Nations attire spreading a message of unity.
The event concluded with students proudly bearing the title of Mr. And Ms. Little Lycean Star, marking a day of talent, unity and school pride at Lyceum of Alabang.
