Theme: To be loved by someone who understands and appreciates every detail of you.

Oh, to be loved by a writer,

To be loved by an artist too—

No, to be cherished by a reader,

Who overthinks each word I spew.

They linger on my punctuation,

The spaces, and the form I choose,

Analyzing every letter,

Finding pieces of me to use.

They read each sentence with intent,

Each line a chance to glimpse my mind,

Because they sense, within my work,

A part of me for them to find.

They trust I won’t mislead their mind,

With twists and turns of empty chase,

They see the heart in what I write,

And in each detail, find my grace.

Oh, to be loved by such a soul,

Who finds my words a precious art,

Appreciates with every glance—

Oh, to be loved by such a heart.
