Blonde American pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter achieved a new personal milestone as she dominated two of her nominations for her first win in Grammys 2025, on February 2, at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena.
The American singer was awarded with the ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’ for her song “Espresso”, followed by ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ trophy for her album “Short N’ Sweet” during the ceremony broadcast.
Carpenter, shining in her sparkly champagne dress, received the trophy with all smiles as she delivered her speech with a speechless impression on her face.
“I’m still out of breath from the performance, so I really was not expecting this, and all those nominees that were just on the screen are some of my favorite artists in the world, and I can’t believe I’m nominated against them or even in this room right now,” Carpenter said before getting emotional as this was her first Grammy win.
“I feel so lucky to be able to come together and do something so special and beautiful and celebrate music. I want to thank all the fans that let my music be heard by the Recording Academy,” she added.
The American singer-songwriter felt overjoyed as she couldn’t stop cursing a few times nearly at the end of her speech, before hurrying down the stage in excitement.
Carpenter set another record in history as she had five other nominations including ‘Best New Artist’, ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’ for “Please Please Please”, ‘Album of the Year’ for “Short N’ Sweet”, and ‘Record of the Year’ for “Espresso”.
Sabrina Carpenter is an American singer-songwriter who started her music career way back in 2014. She was known for her 2019 hit “Looking at Me” and 2022 hits “Nonsense” and “Feather” before making a huge comeback in 2024 with “Espresso”, “Please Please Please”, and “Taste”.
