Lifestyle, fashion, and travel content creator Rei Germar announced her engagement to her long-term boyfriend for 11 years, Miguel "Migy" Romulo, via Instagram reels of the couples on March 7.
Announcing his engagement on video, Romulo shared his beachside proposal, saying, "I'm finally engaged to my best friend! I wanted to say so much! But my brain was like: kneel kneel kneel!"
Miguel then posted a few more photos of Rei flexing her brand-new engagement ring on Instagram with the caption, "Finally flipping the page! What chapter are we on anyway? Well who's counting? On to the next one with ya."
Rei and Migy have been together since 2014. In one of their YouTube vlogs that was posted six years ago, they revealed that Migy followed Rei after seeing her on his Instagram Explore page. They were both dating another person that time, but when they were both single, they matched on Tinder.
Fellow influencers showed their support to the newly engaged couple as they commented on their congratulatory message and well wishes for them on the reels posted such as Yskaela Fujimoto, Riva Quenery, Ry Velasco, and Sofia Andres.
Rei is a filipina social media star who rose to fame through her self-titled YouTube Channel. She gained popularity from her makeup hauls, routines, and tutorials, as well as beauty tips and personal lifestyle vlogging. Just like Rei, Migy is also a content creator featuring his interest in fashion, photography, and tech.
