Subject: The bittersweet realization of love fading away
I didn’t notice the days grew thin,
Soft laughter dancing with the wind.
Footsteps, once light as whispered dreams,
Now fade like echoes lost in streams.
I didn’t notice the shifting tides,
How morning’s glow turned pale and shy.
Fingers once laced without a thought,
Now scatter like leaves bidding goodbye.
I didn’t notice the words unsaid,
The quiet ache we left unfed.
A fleeting glance, a thought held tight,
Now swallowed by the hush of night.
I didn’t notice, but now I do—
The hollow space where love once grew.
Yet here I stand, with empty hands,
Chasing ghosts that slip like sand.
