Theme: Quiet Admiration and Sincere Love

I told myself this was ordinary,

just days passing, nothing more.

Kindness brushed off as small,

presence mistaken for chance.

I learned how not to look too close,

how to call longing nothing at all.

But closeness has a quiet way

of staying in shared hours,

in the laughter, in the silence.

I watched you carefully,

loving without asking to be seen.

You felt like stars I feared to touch,

blue in your calm, red in my chest.

Too good to be true—

and losing you was my quiet fear.

Somewhere between laughter and music,

I stopped pretending I was steady.

My heart leaned slowly,

gently, toward you.

I notice the small things you do,

the way you smile at someone else,

how your voice can fill a quiet room,

and I feel this ache, soft and sweet.

Even in moments that seem ordinary,

I find myself holding on

to the way you make the world brighter,

to the way I can’t stop thinking of you.

And in the quiet of every melody,

I hope you feel me near,

listening, caring, always aware.

Slowly and surely, in every note,

I will cherish you, always.
