The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 122-113, to even the Western Conference Finals at 1-1 behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s offensive masterclass at the Paycom Center on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
After dropping Game 1, the Thunder opened the contest with aggressive transition offense and tighter defensive pressure.
Gilgeous-Alexander orchestrated Oklahoma City’s attack with 30 points and timely playmaking to fuel the Thunder’s momentum.
Jalen Williams sparked the opening quarter through fast-break finishes and perimeter conversions.
However, San Antonio responded in the second period behind Victor Wembanyama’s interior scoring and rim protection.
Soon after, the Spurs narrowed the gap midway through the quarter after capitalizing on Oklahoma City turnovers.
Chet Holmgren countered with defensive stops and second-chance baskets to preserve the Thunder’s advantage before halftime.
Entering the third quarter, Oklahoma City widened the separation as Gilgeous-Alexander attacked the lane with consecutive drives.
Thunder sustained their rhythm through quick ball movement and efficient perimeter shooting entering the final frame.
San Antonio attempted to rally late behind Wembanyama and Devin Vassell’s offensive production.
Oklahoma City, however, maintained composure and converted crucial baskets to secure the series-tying victory.
The Thunder regained momentum heading into the next matchup, while the Spurs seek sharper execution as both squads prepare for another physical battle in the Western Conference Finals.
