Filipino pop groups BINI and SB19 seek nominations in multiple categories for the 69th Grammy Awards on February 7, 2027, through submissions announced on social media on Monday, October 12, 2026.
BINI submitted entries in three categories: Best New Artist, Best Asian Pop Music Performance for “Unang Kilig,” and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “A Parallel World." The group promoted its entries through a “For Your Grammy Consideration” campaign.
Meanwhile, SB19 submitted “Visa” for Best Asian Pop Music Performance and “Lawless” for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The five-member group, composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, also thanked its fans for supporting its international ambitions.
The Recording Academy, which organizes the Grammy Awards, opened the first round of voting for eligible members to review submissions and select nominees.
Voting runs until October 22, 2026, covering music released between August 31, 2025, and August 28, 2026.
The 2027 ceremony introduces Best Asian Pop Music Performance, one of five new categories announced by the academy in June.
The category recognizes artistic excellence in Asian pop recordings originating from or widely recognized in Asian markets, including K-pop, J-pop, C-pop, and P-pop, with meaningful use of one or more Asian languages.
Both groups have strengthened their international presence through major music festivals and performances.
BINI performed at Coachella in April, becoming the first homegrown Filipino act to appear at the festival, while SB19 performed at Lollapalooza in July, marking another milestone for Filipino pop music.
However, their submissions do not guarantee nominations, as Recording Academy voting members will determine which entries advance to the final list of nominees.
