NEWS: "Nurses in General Santos City Were Asked to Wear Adult Diapers for their 12-hour Shift" by: Everly Krissa Tejada

The use of adult diapers were implemented for the nurses in Dr. Jorge P. Royeca Memorial Hospital (DJPRMH) to lessen the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during their 12-hour shift without a toilet break inside the COVID-19 facility.

A nurse from DJPRMH said that their work load could have eased by reducing their working time for four to six hours, but the PPEs are expensive that it could go to waste if they would use it for just a few hours.

PPEs cost from P2,500 to P3,000 each and health workers in a COVID-19 facility were not allowed to put it again once they already took it off.
