LITERARY: "Unplanned" by: Airah Nazhyna

Category: Poetry

Theme: Unrequited Love

Synopsis: They planned good things together but in an unexpected turn of events, only one person was interested in what they had.

I decided to be fed,
by your love that was red.

A prayer that was sacred—
made my wounds bleed.
I didn't want to be unwanted.

I didn't come uninvited,
you were contented—
but somehow disgusted.

Your attention was undivided.
At first, you pretended—
and then became undecided.

For all the plans,
this was the only unsettled.
Things became unsaturated,
you said, "I'm just infatuated."

You got distracted—
some plans got twisted.
You became uninterested.

A wonderful world got undecorated.
A lovely dove became uncommitted,
I was deeply disappointed.
