The no vaccination, no ride policy has already implemented. The government gave 30 days chance for those people that is not yet vaccinated or fully vaccinated. After 30 days, not fully vaccinated individuals will not be able to ride any public vehicles.
Not all people are able to take the vaccination, that is why they are giving an exemption for those who have medical conditions. They only need to show their medical records with the signiture of their doctors.
They are also giving an excuse for those who will buy essential goods and services.
The government will also ask the companies to give free shuttle service for its employers that are not yet fully vaccinated.
According to the Group of Trade Union Congress of the Philippines, the No Vax, No Ride Policy is clearly a Coercion. They said that it is forcing people to get vaccinated.
"Ito ay violation ng batas at violation ng karapatan ng bawat isa na may freedom sila of choice kung magpapabakuna ba sila o hindi," says Alan Tanjusay.
On the other side, DOTr and DILG asserted that the said policy is not discriminatory.
TUCP insisted that instead of forcing people to take the vaccination, the government should give more informations about the vaccine. They should put more effort persuading them to take it.
