Bread is one of the essential needs of the Filipinos. It is always present in every table either for breakfast or snack. The majority loves it because it gives relief to starvation and bacause it is affordable. Now, the Department of Trade and Industry decides to raise the price of the Pinoy Tasty and Pinoy Pandesal. A lot of people are complaining about the said issue. It will be implemented on February 1, 2021.
One of the complainant is Oscar Bismanos a construction worker. Pinoy tasty and pinoy pandesal serves as his lunch at work. He is nervous about its price hike.
"Mababa lang po ang sahod ko kaya dapat kung ano presyo ng mga tinapay, dapat ganoon din po. Huwag na nilang itaas," said by Bismanos.
Pinoy pandesal's price will raise from Php 21.50 to Php 23.50. While the price of Pinoy Tasty is will going to raise from Php 35.00 to Php 38.50.
The price of flour and LPG is now higher than its normal price and it is the one who affected the price Pinoy Tasty and Pinoy Pandesal. It is also possible for it to go up again on March.
"Kung manatiling ganito pa rin ang presyo... talagang mapipilitan sa Marso na ituloy 'yong pangalawang antas ng paggalaw ng presyo nito," said by Philippine Federation of Bakers Association.
According to the Department of Trade and Industry, the one who will announce about the price adjustments is Secretary Ramon Lopez.
