After two years since the suspension of mass gatherings because of the pandemic, the Department of Education's curriculum and instruction office is suggesting the conduct of a limited face-to-face end of school year ceremony for K-12 basic education.
Education Assistant Secretary Alma Ruby Torio said that this is the proposed curriculum and instruction for the upcoming end of school year ceremony. A limited F-to-f ceremony will be permitted, particularly for those on alert levels 1 and 2. Having an end-of-school-year ceremony is still optional for schools.
Also, according to Torio, the proposal is still being discussed by DepEd officials and is still waiting to be approved by Education Secretary Leonor Briones.
However, those schools under Alert Level 3 will continue to conduct virtual ceremonies.
