Theme: Realization of self's worth

Oh, our genuineness; to where has it gone?
A sudden bullet; since when did you lose your love?
I thought of a physical bullet to catch your way;
But then I asked—why was I the aim of the gun?

Pure instinct, reflex; witnessed no physical damage.
Your eyes were joyful, as they saw how you're losing me—
My eyes were tearful while questioning your joy.
Uncertain, I concluded the scene as a happy ending.

I am alive but full of trauma, what was this bullet?
It may not be trauma; I would just hate to see you.
I know you meant damage, I know you meant harm—
Those memories; I want them clustered from afar.

Looking back, it was expected; just a disappointment
Blinded, should you not have a shame for what you meant?
What you mean were clichΓ©s worth of promises.
Foolishly, we all believe at first; but it's always better—than to be you.
