On Sunday, July 16, the Makatao Club of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand conducted an outreach program for the children in need from Kanlungan sa Er-Ma Ministry orphanage in San Pedro City, Laguna.
"Salamat sa pagbisita ninyo, lubusang napasaya ang mga bata,” said the staffer of the orphanage. She also added, "Malaking tulong sa amin yung mga binibigay niyo, hindi na namin kakailanganin bumili para sa mga susunod na araw. Makakatipid sa budget namin.”
Kanlungan sa Er-ma Ministry, an orphanage serving as an all-girl’s home, received school supplies, sacks of rice, food groceries, toiletries, and a hot meal was given to the orphans. Dance performances and games were also held during the program.
Ms. Princheska Ordejon, the HUMSS' strand head and Mr. Erick Mendoza, the club adviser, supervised the outreach program; together with the help of Danica Demaclid, the outgoing President, Abigail Job F. Alla, the outgoing Vice President, and the whole Makatao Club.
