Theme: Love that makes your heart feel like it's under a billion suns
As the summer sun bathes me in its scorching grasp,
I wonder if its shine was made in tribute of—
Your cheeks that set my heart ablaze in constant fire,
As if the humid air was laced with sulfur.
Step after step, I take refuge in the crisp sand,
Against waves in their endless pursuit of the land.
I chuckle at the futility of their chase.
For it may serve as a reflection for my desire.
I swam the depths of the Atlantic in your eyes,
I wish to be swallowed, to be consumed in haste.
Timeless, boundless horizons could only admire,
The widest expanse of marble that is your waist.
I wonder if all that is underneath the blue,
Holy or damned, were sculpted in tribute of you.
