Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Strand, powered with their blazed spikes and decisive play, gained their hard earned championship title as they trounced the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand with a final of 3-1 set score on October 26, at the DVA Gymnasium Annex.

In a short interview with the team captain of STEM's women's volleyball team, Avon Lee Louse D. Tomawis, "We worked hard together to develop our strategies, skills, and teamwork,” she stated.

Tomawis, a grade 12 student from section STEM Shunem, also added, “It was a test of our capabilities and determination to win. The pressure was not too high, but we kept our composure and worked together to achieve our goal."

STEM was boosted with the twice-to-beat advantage against the HUMSS strand; during the first game of the championship, HUMSS attempted to fight for the title and got the lead for the third set.

However, this was immediately denied by STEM as they showed their great defense and threw out powerful spikes, securing the championship title.

On November 8, 2023, the awarding ceremony was held and the captain ball of the STEM Women's Volleyball Team, Ms. Avon Lee Louse Tomawis, grabbed the Most Valuable Player Award. With the gold secured on their hands, STEM received their championship trophy at the awarding ceremony.
