Subject: Solitariness
The wind flew around me,
whispering words I didn't want to hear,
forcing me to face reality,
something that I wish disappeared.
A fragment of memory,
Down in the park.
Where our tears and laughter are stuck in the mud,
Oh, how I wish for rain to wash it by the flood.
"How fun would it be to have someone around?"
The wind told me with a mocking sound.
"To have the comfort that cannot be easily found."
It added as we approached a crowd.
Laughter can be heard as they travel together,
each individual feels comfortable with one another.
Sharing different stories that piqued their interests,
and their gleeful responses can be heard from a distance.
There's never been a better time,
To bore it all to my trusty shoulder.
By this time tomorrow, we will be aged,
No fates to be thanked and no cupid to be prayed.
Time had changed us,
But I don't regret it.
I watched you as you drift away,
But it gave me comfort knowing that we watch the same sky everyday.
Will it be too selfish of me to ask,
to have something that will last.
To have someone beside me as I fly across the sky,
and will stay close during the night.
