University of the east acquired Bronze in V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge on September 29, at the Philsports Arena, beating College of Saint Benilde by overcoming a two-set deficit.

The Lady Warriors struggled between the first two sets against the Lady Blazers with the set scores of 23-25, 18-25. However, managed to find its way winning the next two sets 25-18, 25-23. Forced a fifth set where they won 15-11.

Lady Warrior, Jelai Gajero, played a crucial role in the fifth set, having a return after a knee injury before Casiey Dongallo finished with back-to-back kills.

UE Lady Warriors having a wonderful finish, having a comeback from a 2-0 deficit to the CSB Lady Blazers, led by Gajero with an astonishing 29 points.

UE head coach, Obet Vital, acknowledged the injuries as an issue in the past games amongst the players but remains unconcerned as the rest of the roster retains their focus and getting them the win.

"We played some of our games without Gajero and Dongallo. We even lost (Jenalyn) Umayam, one of our starters as well to injury," said UE head coach Obet Vital.

"So, that was three starters, but we did well. The rest of the girls stepped up and they kept us in the elims and the playoffs," he added.

UE Lady Warriors won, with Gajero that made 29 points with 25 kills, three blocks, Dongallo with 20 points on 18 kills, and Kai Cepada with 17 points.

CSB Lady Blazers lost even after great performances, led by Rhea Densing with 28 points, followed by Mary Grace Borromeo with 16 points, lastly Zam Nolasco claiming 10 points.
