Amidst a nest, ever so restless and torn,

Still remains tranquil—a flock of feathered souls.

Until one caught spark for another,

Embers ignite where epochs unfold,

And in reverie they waltz, with memories to hold.

'Til the wind’s current veered its path,

Swept was the duet that never lasted.

Rooted by heritage, in vain two feathers flew—

Yet won’t be forgotten.

Etched in letters, both hearts remain anew.

Disguised in a white canvas,

There, the flame still lingered, aching.

For each wake, despite sorrow's return—

Are moments of ageless yearning.

Even if painfully portrayed by an inked relic,

It’d still be painted, with no one else in the picture—

Just two lovebirds bound to quarrel,

Laid eternally entwined,

As they try to find their way back home.
