Subject: Reminiscing the old Christmas

There was a time when Christmas meant more,

More than the sparkle of gifts on the door.

It was the thrill of waiting for the first time of cheer,

A flame in our hearts, burning bright and clear.

We'd run to the tree, our young hearts full of delight,

Like fireflies drawn to the warm glow of light.

Every carol we sang, every gift we received,

Felt like stars in a night sky we truly believed.

But somewhere along the way, we grew up too fast,

The sparkle of Christmas became shadows of the past.

The songs and laughter became whispers in the air,

As if joy was a bird, fleeing somewhere.

So, we hold on to memories, both sweet and sad,

Like fragile snowflakes in hands we once had.

Hoping one day, it might come back anew,

The magic of Christmas, the wonder we once knew.
