President Marcos disappoints House of Representatives due to his remarks on friday, November 29, that filing impeachment complaints against VP Sara would not effect noteworthy change in Congress or the public stated in Lucena City, Quezon.

Marcos said on Friday, November 29 that filing an impeachment towards Sara will waste time and tie both the House of Representatives and Senate down.

“What will happen if somebody files an impeachment? It will tie down the (House), it will tie down the Senate. It will just take up all our time, and for what? For nothing?" said in an interview.

VP Sara has drawn the attention of the House of Representatives after stating that she hired an assassin to kill President Marcos, his wife, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez, said on Saturday, November 23.

Representatives France Castro, Arlene Brosas, and Raoul Manuel have drawn attention to the issue and are prepared to file an impeachment complaint against Duterte and other responsible officials.

France Castro, ACT Teachers Party-list Representative, expressed dissapointment over Marcos' statement, stating that the legislature must remain independent and free from presidential influence.

Teodoro CasiΓ±o, Chairman of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) also emphasized filing an impeachment complaint is never a waste of time and it is improper for the president to interfere.

CasiΓ±o added that Marcos Jr. promotes the culture of impunity wherein everything is questioned but those responsible are not held accountable.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) invited Duterte to explain her side regarding the issue on friday, November 29, but Duterte did not appear, citing an "office matter."

On November 27, Duterte announced in a press conference that Marcos' Duterte relationship reached its "end of no return."

In response, Marcos replied, "Never say never," regarding his relationship with the Dutertes.
