On January 26, the Kansas City Chiefs clinched their spot in the Super Bowl LIX, after edging out the Buffalo Bills in a match at the AFC Championship, with a score of 32-29.
Chiefs made a history as they entered the Super Bowl seven times already and having a remarkable streak with their third consecutive appearance.
Patrick Mahomes, leading the team as the quarterback, and continuing on becoming one of the best in the game, the offense of Kansas City became unstoppable.
Showcasing his best composure despite the intensity of the game and making sure to give his best ability, Mahomes passed for 245 yards and threw a touchdown.
The joy of the winners, the Chiefs, can be felt as they celebrated their victory in the AFC Championship.
In an interview, Mahomes stated of how proud he is to his teammates and on the way they responded.
"I'm just excited to get down to New Orleans — let's go make history,” he said.
Another noteworthy moment came when Travis Kelce embraced his own trophy: none other than the pop star, singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.
The upcoming match of the Kansas City in New Orleans will determine if they will create a history.
Should the Chiefs defeat their 2023 foe, the Philadelphia Eagles, they will achieve their first three-peat.
The said match will take place at the Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025.
