PLEDIS Entertainment has announced on March 5 that SEVENTEEN's sixth member, Wonwoo, will start his military service on April 3 through a post on Weverse.
Wonwoo will start missing out on their activities scheduled for April. This includes the Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 festival and Japan fanmeet scheduled in April.
However, the agency confirmed that Wonwoo's participation in ‘SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND’ arranged for March 20 and 21 is certain.
It was additionally mentioned that the enlisting idol will still be appearing on pre-recorded online materials.
“There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly request that you refrain from visiting the site of his alternative military service. Please send your heartfelt messages of support for WONWOO through Weverse,” PLEDIS said in the post.
This enlistment is the second heartbreak for Carats and SEVENTEEN after Jeonghan's enlistment—the first member in the group to enlist after their leader and oldest member, S.Coups, was exempted from service due to his ACL injury.
Wonwoo is a South Korean rapper and singer. He is a member of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN and his subunit with Jeonghan, JxW.
