Actor Kim Soo-hyun officially denied rumors of a six-year romance with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, dismissing the claims as 'false' in a statement released on March 11, in Seoul, South Korea, and pledged strong legal action against those spreading misinformation.

Sae-ron passed away at the age of 24 on February 16, 2025, with korean authorities ruling it a suicide. Weeks later, a woman claiming to be her aunt alleged a six-year relationship between her and Soo-hyun.

In an interview with HoverLab Inc. on March 10, the woman claimed Soo-hyun and Sae-ron began dating when she was 15 and he was 27, and accused Gold Medalist of mishandling her DUI case in 2022.

Soo-hyun's agency refuted the claims in a statement released on March 11, calling the allegations about the 'Queen of Tears' star 'groundless.' The agency condemned the false accusations and promised legal action to protect Soo-hyun's reputation and respect Kim Sae-ron's memory.

Gold Medalist stated, "The claims about Kim Soo-hyun made in the broadcast are completely false, and we are reviewing the strongest possible legal action."

They further added, "We mourn Kim Sae-ron's loss, but HoverLab Inc.'s false claims echo the 'cyber wreckers' who caused her pain, further disrespecting her memory."

Kim Soo-hyun, known for his roles in hit dramas such as "Moon Embracing the Sun" and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," continues to maintain a low profile amid the controversy, focusing on his professional work and the mourning of Sae-ron's tragic passing.
