Theme: Is knowing me more means loving me less?

What if the soul I possessed,

Becomes raw and confessed,

Is less golden than you ever dreamed of?

What if the closer you come,

The more the shine turns dim?

Oft I muse—

If my scars speak louder than my love,

Will you still embrace me?

Or will you remain silent through my fractured edges?

They say love was tested through ups and downs,

But it wasn't—

For love often begins with distance,

Where devotion looks perfect from afar,

While sincerity stuffed in a wounded mask.

So, if knowing me more means loving me less,

Then perhaps you never loved me at all,

You only cherish the shadows of thrill,

And the frame of the mask I haven't revealed.

But if your voice still calls my name,

Even when the mask undone,

Then I will know—

That I'm not too little to be kept,

And not too much to be loved.
