Theme: Healing that begins quietly
A year passed in a blur of heavy mornings–
I learned to move without expecting anything.
Each voice a whisper, each step unsure—
A quiet life, both dull and pure.
Most days arrived already tired–
Walked through them uneasy and uninspired.
Each day repeating its hollow tone—
Carrying heaviness that felt fully grown.
Then sunlight slipped through without a warning–
It broke the way of my ordinary morning.
It was different—soft, firm, unexpectedly warm,
And it was strong enough to change my form.
Later, a stranger passed, their gesture kind—
A wave, a nod, that touched my mind.
They smiled as they walked by–
No words were needed, no reason why.
A melody drifted from the past–
Notes I thought forgotten, floating fast.
It wrapped around the corners of my mind–
Unlocking feelings I feared I confined.
My smile emerged, so small yet so true—
A sudden spark the gray withdrew.
The feeling rose—quiet, brief, entirely new.
It reminded me of something I once knew.
But it faded quickly, before it ever felt real–
Yet before it left, it showed me I could still feel.
In that instant, the world tilted gently back to place—
A lightness occured, enough to leave a smile trace.
