Theme: Forbidden love between two people of different status
It could never be undone,
A war of hearts astray,
Between far apart souls,
Both seperating day by day.
From dust-born peasant homes,
To cold towering castle walls,
Her faith in fate still roams,
While his silent surrender falls.
She reached for distant stars,
A sin in noble eyes,
For a prince to love the dirt,
Was treason in disguise.
His heart cried out through silence,
He knew what must be done,
She saw him lose the battle,
Before it had begun.
His eyes confessed what lips could not,
Her love began to fray,
Their silence screamed of endings,
With nothing left to say.
Now under gilded arches he stood,
A bride adorned in lace,
She watched from shadowed corners,
As another had taken her place.
The memories turned to ash,
Acceptance, her last grace,
Heart no longer in hope's comfort,
But settled in sorrow's embrace,
For love demands sacrifice,
Even when love's misplaced.
