"IN ANOTHER LIFE"
By: Axel Adame
I found my comfort in you,
Gave me butterflies—I was always in a blu.
Bestowed me an endlessly ecstatic ride,
Clasped and satisfied me that you would never be cold.
I found myself with you,
Never left me—even when I was glued.
You were my home and my ray of sunshine,
Closed my eyes—assured myself that it was always fine.
You made me feel that I was enough,
Taught me to stand and simply be tough.
You illuminated the darkness I was afraid of,
Held my cheeks—brought my tears off.
In another life, I would never hesitate—
Choosing you over whatever it'd take.
It may be the end for us now,
But I'd make no bones with our embedded vows.
In another life, you'd still be my home and light.
In another life, with you—I'd end the night.
Please be happy and don't cry.
I'd be with you and we'd reach upon the sky.
