For a movie to produce 10 sequels, the franchise must have been very beloved by horror moviegoers. The ‘Halloween’ franchise, which began in 1978 with the original movie, is gifting its fans its 12th installment this year with the return of psychopath killer Michael Myers in ‘Halloween Kills’. The franchise has had a soft reboot in 2018, tracing back from the story roots of the original film while ignoring the 9 movies in between. ‘Halloween Kills’ meanwhile is a direct sequel to the 2018 reboot and will close with a planned thirdquel in 2022 entitled, ‘Halloween Ends’. ‘Halloween Kills’ is releasing both in theaters and on streaming via Peacock on October 15.

The original scary doll that perhaps is horror lovers’ favorite, Chucky, is likewise returning on screen this month with the release of ‘Chucky (TV Series)’ via SyFy on October 12. This TV show is also a reboot of the original ‘Child’s Play’ released in 1988 with a set of new cast while some familiar and iconic characters returning. Brad Dourif as the original voice actor as well as Jennifer Tilly as Chucky’s other half Tiffany are both making their comeback in the show set in a modern-day American town.
