LITERARY: Dark Heaven By: Aaliyah Van T. Pineda

Classification: Prose

Theme: Fantasy & Fiction

Synopsis: Heaven and Hell separated by a world created to keep Lucifer and his demons away from Heaven, a world of "Dark Saints" who were once humans who have tainted their hands with the cold blood of the innocent, Alois Francis Edward's world.

What happens after you die? Some say your soul will be left in the hands of God, while others say your soul will just wander the Earth for all eternity with no visible target whatsoever, others even say your soul will preserve in your body. But what exactly will happen really?

The answer is the first choice. Although, what nobody is sure of, we'll never know where God will put us until after we pass on. You could be the kindest person in humanity and still, you will be placed in Hell. Or you're the complete opposite, but surprisingly you will be placed in Heaven.

But in my case, I was placed in neither kingdom. There are three kingdoms and your soul will be placed in one of them. Heaven, Hell, and Dark Heaven, my kingdom. Dark Heaven is in between Heaven and Hell, and the Angels in Dark Heaven are called Dark Saints.

I'm a Dark Saint myself, we all were once humans on Earth as well, humans who have committed sins even you can't imagine right now, humans who died with the blood of the innocent in our hands and the screams of our victims still ringing in our ear. Since we're in between the two kingdoms of Heaven and Hell, our job is to make sure Lucifer and his Demons stay away from Heaven and even fight them if needed. Although, Dark Heaven is in peace with Lucifer at the moment.

Now, you might be wondering, why didn't God just send us Dark Saints to Hell if we've committed inhumanly sins? The answer is simple, after people like us die, God chooses the worthy ones and asks them if they want to redeem themselves from their past, God doesn't explain what happens if they say no, but what really happens if they do say no is that they'll be sent to Hell, nobody knows why he does this but maybe it's because so the person won't take advantage of the offer and only accept it so they won't be sent to the Underworld. Although, God is capable of telling if we're lying or not.

Despite Dark Saints having a great purpose in all kingdoms, we are often being looked down upon by other Angels in Heaven, just because of our past. There has been a dispute in Heaven about banishing Dark Saints and sending them to Hell, and they claimed that when Lucifer does strike they can always fight him and his demons on their own.

Pathetic, absolutely pathetic I say. Some people don't know how to appreciate us, God gave us a chance to redeem ourselves not just for nothing, we're the ones making sure the pesky little asses of Demons don't even lay a finger on the land of Heaven. Luckily, the final decision of Christ and God himself is that we Dark Saints stay where we are. Anyway, Dark Heaven looks like a mere replica of Heaven but this time darker instead of bright.

It isn't called "Dark" Heaven for nothing. There are also towers covering the grounds of Dark Heaven and on the very centre is a palace, where the higher-ups reside, the strongest Dark Saints or what we call them, "Warriors", are also given entrance to the palace although if a common Dark Saint would wish to enter the palace they would need permission from one of the higher-ups, and for them to ask for permission they will need to send them a message, or they can ask a Warrior to speak to the higher-ups to grant them entrance, either choice is alright, I am a Warrior myself.

I suppose I've said enough about my world, I'll lead everything else to your imagination.
