Various senior high school students turned the Lyceum of Alabang into a lively and colorful one as they performed their chosen festival at the opening of the celebration of the 19th Founding Anniversary of the school. The winner was announced at the awarding ceremony, on Oct. 28 at the Danilo V. Ayap (DVA) Gym.

The strand of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) won 2nd place in the competition with its chosen festival, the Manggahan Festival. Meanwhile, the strand of Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) won 1st place, for it did not disappoint the audience and judges as it brought their live bands into the school to perform the Kadayawan Festival.

With its colorful props, energetic dancers, the strand of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) slayed the dance floor as it brought the Panagbenga festival of Baguio City to the Lyceum of Alabang. It is indeed remarkable as they leave an impact on the judges and audience, making them the champions of the competition.

Meanwhile, this competition will not happen without the hardship and dedication of one another. During an interview with one of the ICT dancers, Jane Ashley Rivera, she mentioned that the creativity of their performance was created by their coach, Gerald.

"Some of us find it difficult to follow specific dance steps that are challenging for others, but the challenge we faced the most while practicing was moving all of the props from one place to another since we don't have a designated space for practicing," Rivera stated.

However, in spite of struggles, the team was delighted with how their performance turned out.

"Do you remember how it felt when a venture you worked on for a very long time had a great outcome?  That was our feeling. The euphoria we experienced after feeling like we had made everyone proud is inexplicable," Rivera added.

Just as important, the competition will not be possible without the judges. Cristino Parrilla Jr., Dexell John Eben, and Marjorie Paraiso Dencel were the three honorable judges that decided and critiqued the performance of the street dance dancers.
