On Wednesday, January 18, the strand of Home Economics conducted its skills fest 2023 with the theme "Pursue your passion, lead, excel, and succeed," held at Lyceum of Alabang DVA gym.

Grade 12 H.E. students displayed their ingenuity in the design of their booths and the exquisite costumes they wore to represent many cultures and characters by setting up stalls selling goods.

Khai-khao empanada, Patisserie Club, Beoseos lumpia, and Pistang Jordan displayed their themes through their costumes, and dressed as modern Filipinas, they sold traditional goods like puto with their own recipe and side dish.

The sandwich-making competition and the salad-making competition highlight the activities for grade 11 HE students. The sandwich-making competition kicked off at 10 a.m. and finished exactly at 11:15 AM. Grade 11- Numbers was named the winner, followed by other Grade 11- Numbers representatives, and Grade 11- Habakkuk earned the second runner-up spot.

In preparation of Salad making, Grade 11 Numbers came out on top and was named the winner, followed by Grade 11 Habakkuk, and Grade 11 Exodus as the second runner up.
The Grade 12-H.E. students competed in the cake decorating competition later that day from 1 pm to 3 pm, in which Grade 12 Zanoah was named the winner, followed by Grade 12 Jerahmeel and Grade 12 Jericho.

Meanwhile, the judges for this competition—Ms. Frencee Anne Rivera, VP Sheryl Gonzales, and Mrs. Norma M. Ayap, Vice President for Basic Education—evaluated each contestant's dish, contents, and quality one-by-one.
