To me, you will always be my first love.
Your gentleness towards me,
Fulfills the humanly needs of mine,
A partner in crime sticks together;
Through better or for worse.
How the days pass by so quickly;
Remember you said you’ll always understand me?
You cared enough to listen in everything,
To my likes, dislikes, and even the shows I watch.
Every time you were present.
Love, you left me.
Why didn’t we fix it?
We called ourselves anything but lovers;
Compared to the things we promised.
Everything just vanished.
In a snap, my whole world collapsed.
You were just a mere boy;
Who wanted to know what love is?
I wanted to love you with my whole being,
Yet refused because of one misunderstanding.
You were never the love of my life.
Just someone I found to waste my time.
An illusion of what I believed love was;
Left me broken and questioned if I was enough.
So cheers to the one we called: Our first love.
