During the 20th Founding Anniversary Event of Lyceum of Alabang, selected Senior High School representatives from the Accountancy and Business Management (ABM) strand made it to the top and dominated two Quiz Bee categories, Math and General Information and Social Science, against the other competing strands. On the other hand, the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand triumphed in the Science Quiz Bee, claiming the champion’s title, held at the Audio Visual Room (AVR) on October 24.

During the General Information and Social Science Quiz Bee, the ABM Strand, represented by Annika Howie Quizana, Ace Balangitan, and Nicola Malaca, was able to overcome different strands opposing them, gaining an overall score of 81 points which led them to first place.

A representative from ABM, Quizana, stated in an interview about claiming the first place in the General Information and Social Sciences Quiz Bee, “Intrinsically, I felt a rush of excitement and overwhelming joy when I found out that we, the ABM team, had emerged as champion of the General Information and Social Sciences Quiz Bee. It was a moment of validation and pride; all the hard work, long hours of preparation, and memorizing facts had finally paid off. I also felt a sigh of relief as the competition came to an end, knowing that our efforts had led us to victory.”

Followed by the second runner-up, the Home Economics (HE) Strand, represented by Marie Atonette Argame, Mathan Josh Ignacio, and John Roy Agulos with 78 points. As for STEM, they had 76 points, making them the third runner-up, represented by Jon Frederick Agrabio, Maverick John Tarasona, and Josef Gabriel Cruz.

Ensuing the Math Quiz Bee, ABM once again led the competition, securing the round with a leading score of 60 points, represented by Jared Landrito, James Benedict Estella, and Ma. Faye Peral, recognizing them as the champions.

A representative from ABM, Landrito, during an interview about winning the Math Quiz Bee, “I’m really thankful for the opportunity that presented itself not just to me bot to us representatives. It was because of our team effort and the support of everyone in our strand that we were able to take this win for ourselves, our classes, and our strands. In the midst of it, we understood that our every answer is a team decision. Something that we were able to achieve by trusting each other and supporting ourselves to enjoy the contest,“ he entailed, “Wholeheartedly, I felt proud of us and our strand for our victory.”

Meanwhile, the STEM Strand grabbed second place, represented by Rian Tan, Pretcel Ann Flores, and Ruviel Eric Vincent Tarasona. Therefore, giving the Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Strand the opportunity to move up to third position, accompanied by Enzo Salvaleon, Kylon Loresca, and Johannes Luis Morales.

In the Science Quiz Bee, the STEM Strand prevailed and took the championship, as represented by Nicole Paula Dado, John Gerard Estella, and James Mancilla.

Estella, one of the STEM representatives, humbly stated his thoughts in an interview about winning the Science Quiz Bee, “I should give credits to ABM strand as they tried to catch up with us. Most of our answers are just educational guess. It is just this time we got luck on our side. I’m also happy to say that me and my twin became champion in Quiz Bee. He won the Math Quiz Bee while I had won the Science Quiz Bee. I also want to thank my teammates because if not for them we couldn't had won the Science Quiz Bee,”

Moreover, the ABM Strand representatives, Anzen De Leon, Luis Emmanuel De Jesus, and Jerome Ald-J Arcega, came in second place. The ICT Strand came in third, represented by Gideon Bionar, Camelo Anthony Pademal, and Steven Sangalan.
