The finishing touch for glory and redemption.
Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH) added the last feather to their cap, as they stopped the back-to-back Mid Season Cup (MSC) championship push of the defending champions Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG OG), 4-1, to clinch the MSC trophy that completed their international accolades, in the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) MSC Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, August 2.
The unclaimed MSC trophy is the reason for TLPH' half-baked legacy and doubt of some Mobile Legends fans that questions their greatness.
TLPH set the stage for a rout and ended the series in four straight games after a dominating game 1 win of SRG OG.
TLPH's EXP laner Sanford was awarded the Finals Most Valuable Player (FMVP) award after his consistent setup play initiations and outstanding backline zoning, pushing SRG OG to their downfall.
"I owe it to my teammates, and thanks to them, I grew to be a strong fighter," Sanford mentioned in the FMVP interview.
In the opening game, TLPH fell to the raging surge of SRG OG's offense and unusual draft with Innocent's Bruno burst damage and YumS' Grock pick-off capability that led to a 1-0 SRG OG victory with a 5k gold lead.
TLPH showed their expertise in macro mechanics and discipline in game 2, as they consistently held the lead from early to late game, equalizing the series, 1-1.
In game number 3, TLPH maintained their composure and managed a comeback win. Innocent's Granger got a Maniac at the 5-minute mark that expanded their lead, but TLPH wiped out SRG OG at the 14-minute mark and finished the game, taking the series lead, 2-1.
Game 4 was a total disaster for SRG OG and a landslide victory for TLPH that added immense comeback pressure for SRG OG, which is down 3-1.
Game 5 was worse than game 4 for SRG OG, as TLPH' Gold Laner Oheb was unstoppable and tallied 13/1/2 Kill Death Assist (KDA) with his Granger pick, which put a period to the series and sent SRG OG home, 4-1.
"To all the Filipino fans, thank you for supporting us all the way here, and we will now bring home the MSC trophy back to the Philippines," TLPH coach Arsy stated.
The young goat and TLPH' Jungle Karltzy proved the world that he is the greatest player and jungle of all time, as he now obtained the missing trophy in his collection.
"I cannot fathom what I feel right now, I am insanely happy, and the feeling of this victory is very much different from other tournaments we won," Karltzy said.
"Yes," Karltzy shouted when the host asked him if he is now the face of MLBB, and the crowd chanted his name.
TLPH took home 1 million dollars in prize money and claimed the MSC trophy back to the Philippines since RSG Philippines became the MSC 2022 champions.
