Lyceum of Alabang’s Accountancy and Business Management (ABM) strand carried out this school year’s Product Exhibition themed “Empowering the Youth in Creating Wealth Through Entrepreneurship,” with a blast as section Aphek topped off as the overall first placer on Wednesday, November 29, at the DVA Gymnasium.
Aphek’s Class President, Miguel Tomas, noted the various appreciation for the section, stating, “It made me proud and [appreciate] my section more because it [signified our] team work... The strand organizers and [the faculty] of ABM congratulated us because they have seen all the effort we put on just to execute this event and the stress we went through.”
The section bagged the victory among all of the winning categories, namely ‘Best in Booth’ and ‘Best in Product,’ featuring their main delicacy, AdoBurrito, a product made by combining the traditional Filipino dish Adobo and a famous Mexican food, Burrito. This was paired with a side dish dubbed as Kamote Fries and a Pineapple Juice, all made by Aphek’s skills and pursuit for an affordable, yet innovative food.
“As the president of the section Aphek, I made sure that everyone has an idea to present and with that, I can compile it into a one big project. After finalizing our plan, I divided the tasks to each member based on their skills so we can complete the project efficiently,” Tomas added, accounting the class’s efforts to make their success possible.
Following their victory, the crowd-anticipated section, Amaziah, trailed as the overall second place, also claiming the next spot for the ‘Best Product’ and ‘Best Booth’ that presented their Chi-sing King product, comprised of their pastil, “Chi-sig Monok”, a mix of Chicken Sisig and Cheesy Garlic Rice; alongside this course is their “Tartrain” tarts which was available on both yema and ube-cheese flavors, and a “Lemonade” drink.
Antioch also proved the goodness of their Korean cuisine-inspired dishes in “Chicktopia” that showcased Korean-styled chicken on both barbecue and sweet and spicy flavors. This was also coupled with their “Fruit Punch” drink that included fruit bits on its juice that secured their spot for the third place on both booth and product categories.
These winners were awarded with a certificate and a prize money by the ABM strand’s Guild of Junior Accountants and Managers (GJAMs), who planned and made the strand’s successful Product Exhibition happen.
Ace Balangitan, GJAMs’ President, recalled the amount of effort poured into making the event possible. During an interview with The Spiracle, he described in detail how it felt after the exhibition, stating that he was eased after all the physical pain, exhaustion and, finally, the accomplishment that occurred.
“…Within this product exhibit is also a product of the collective effort of GJAMs, Creative Team, Sir Nomer Aman, Lights and Sound, ITM and Spiracle for the documentation, and each section-participant,” Balangitan added to finish his statement.
Each ABM section were all given the opportunity to showcase their business products, some notably featuring pastil products, rice-combined meals, desserts and other refreshing drinks which were all open for sale during the event.
