Source Music's LE SSERAFIM went under criticism after their performance debut on Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival's day two, on April 13, in Indio, California. The issue brought concerns regarding the group's lack of vocal quality and pitch consistency amidst the performance.

Fans were excited to see LE SSERAFIM perform in Coachella, which is famous for their live performances. However, numerous netizens came out to scrutinize the girls' vocals post-performance and claimed the performance was terrible.

"Let's be honest. Their Coachella performance was terrible. They need to improve themselves. I'm not anti. I'm just disappointed about this," a comment stated in one of LE SSERAFIM's Instagram posts.

An audience from the live performance itself recommended to lessen the group's dance difficulty to add quality to their vocal projection.

Technical issues were also encountered by the girl group. A few viewers noticed the microphone's flawed consistency, which might have contributed to their vocal performance.

However, some countered that the microphones were not a valid excuse to consider LE SSERAFIM's performance quality.

One of LE SSERAFIM's members, Sakura, went to Weverse and defended their performance in Coachella, stating it was their "best performance."

She also discussed the significance of one's own feelings despite the judgment of other people. The post also received mixed opinions and controversy.

"Standards may vary depending on the person. But as for me, I wanted to create a performance that, regardless of whether the audience knew us or our songs, they could think, ‘This was fun. It was an unforgettable amazing day.’ And I believe my determination came through, and we were able to stage the best performance," Sakura said in her long post in Weverse.

The five-membered girl group, who wore custom Louis Vuitton designs by Nicolas Ghesquière at the event, performed a total of 10 songs in their 40-minute Coachella debut set.

The performance included the K-pop group's famous hits such as "ANTIFRAGILE", "EASY", "UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)", and "Smart". They also sang their songs "Good Bones", "Perfect Night", "Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard's wife (English Version)," "The Great Mermaid," "FEARLESS," "Fire in the belly", and debuted a performance for their unreleased song "1-800-hot-n-fun".

Despite the shortcomings and hate comments received by the group, LE SSERAFIM has set a new record for being the fastest musicians to debut in a Coachella event. The group making their way onto Coachella's stage before hitting their second year anniversary.

LE SSERAFIM is also scheduled to perform once again in Coachella on the 20th of April.
